NUMIKA is a variant of classic kakuro with four special rules that transform every puzzle: ×2 multiplier cells, linked cells that share a number, chains of consecutive numbers, and mirror cells that add up to 10. They are not decoration: without them, the puzzle has no solution. Every grid asks you to combine kakuro arithmetic with deductions no traditional kakuro book will ever ask for.
This is where it starts to get interesting. The grids grow, the special rules cross paths with each other and the deductions ask for one more step. You can come from Volume I or start straight here: the opening pages include the full instructions, the four rules with illustrated examples and the combinations table.

Inside you will find 76 NUMIKA puzzles of increasing difficulty, ordered by Mastery index, from 202 to 312: it picks up where Volume I left off. The 4 special rules explained with diagrams and numbered examples; irregularly shaped grids, none of the boring squares; a guaranteed unique solution, every puzzle computer-verified and solvable by reasoning, never by guessing; full solutions at the end of the volume; and a high-contrast black and white interior with roomy cells to write in with pencil or pen.
The NUMIKA collection runs to 5 volumes, from Beginner to Expert. Volume V is waiting with giant puzzles of more than 150 cells.
A perfect gift for sudoku and kakuro lovers looking for something new, and for anyone who enjoys giving their head a workout with pure logic.
