Board game production and digital games

From the cardboard prototype to the short print run. Board games and digital games. Before you tell us your idea, we sign an NDA.

Based in Madrid, working across Spain. Prototype, revisions, and production are all coordinated remotely.

How we do it

NDA first, then the idea

Before you tell us anything, we sign an NDA. It protects both sides: your idea stays yours, and it keeps us covered against being credited with something we were already working on. It comes first, before anything else.

A game doesn't sell once, it keeps selling. That makes the arrangement matter more here than on other jobs. It can be by service, with a fixed quote and no cut afterwards; with a share of sales, which depends on the project; or as a co-production, where we put up the development money and split the result. These aren't catalogue rates: the usual answer sits somewhere in between, and whatever we agree gets signed before we start.

Board or digital, the path is the same: prototype, play it, fix it, go again. If something is outside what we know how to do, we say so at the start, not halfway through.

The process

From the first conversation to delivery

  1. 01

    We sign the NDA

Before we hear the idea. It protects yours and makes clear what we already had in hand.

  2. 02

    You tell us the game

What it is, who it's for and how you win. Bring whatever you have: loose notes, half-written rules, a board drawn by hand.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Cardboard, paper and pieces for board games; a playable version for digital ones. Made to play, not to show off.

  4. 04

    Playtests and fixes

We play it, break it and adjust rules, pacing and components. The rounds are written into the contract, because they depend on what the game needs.

  5. 05

    Production

Components, packaging and a short print run. On digital, the finished version of the game.

What you get

What a game project includes

It depends on the game and on the arrangement. This is what usually comes out of a project.

  • An NDA signed before the first conversation about the idea.
  • A playable prototype: cardboard and pieces for board games, a playable build for digital ones.
  • Brand, packaging and the material that goes with the game.
  • A short print run produced, or the finished version for digital games.
  • The arrangement in writing before we start: service, revenue share or co-production.
  • The playtest and adjustment rounds, agreed in writing
